The Light inside the Heart

The town of Borealis is under the oppression of Malevolor - a gigantic serpent enshrouded in shadow. It has trapped all of the townsfolk with its remarkably long coils so no one can escape. Once a year, it will summon an unfortunate soul with its dark magic to the mountaintop. From there, it exhales a foul breath where they slowly turn into stone. Meanwhile, the victim is entrapped within their own heart; having no choice but to be tormented by their painful memories before they are fully encased in stone. Malevolor will then devour the stoned victim; sating its hunger until the next year.

The story introduces a young girl named Aurora. Aurora who grew up struggling with anxiety and her self-worth, became the next prime target to sate Malevolor's appetite. Needing to escape AND heal from the torment within her own heart, Aurora finds herself meeting an unusual encounter...
